Terms and Conditions

1. Reservations

  • Reservations can only be made online through our website.
  • After making a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Keep this safe as it serves as your entry ticket.
  • The organization reserves the right to cancel reservations due to insufficient participation or force majeure.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • You can cancel for free up to 14 days before the event.
  • No refunds are possible for cancellations within 14 days of the event.
  • Contact us via email for cancellations.
  • Late arrivals will result in reduced playtime without eligibility for a refund.

3. Participation Requirements

  • Minimum 2 and maximum 6 participants per team.
  • Minimum age: 8 years.
  • Participants aged 8-16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The organization may request identification to verify age.
  • The popup escape room is not suitable for persons with limited mobility.

4. Access and Conduct

  • A valid reservation confirmation is required for entry.
  • The organization may deny access or remove participants based on behavior or alcohol/drug use, without right to refund.
  • The popup escape room experience lasts a maximum of 45 minutes.

5. Safety and Communication

  • Camera surveillance is present at all times for the safety of participants.
  • An emergency exit is always available and clearly marked.
  • A communication device is provided for contact with the organization during the game.
  • Follow the instructions of the organization at all times.

6. Behavioral Rules

  • Protect the space and the monument; handle all materials with care.
  • Stay behind red-white marked boundaries.
  • Items marked with a red hand symbol must not be touched.
  • Alcohol, smoking, photography, and eating are not allowed in the popup escape room.
  • Phones and bags must be surrendered before starting.
  • Puzzle components must be returned to their original position after the game.
  • Forcing objects, doors, or locks is not permitted.

7. Liability

  • The organization is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
  • The liability of the organization is at all times limited to the amount paid out by the insurer.
  • Damage to property of the organization or third parties caused by participants is the responsibility of the participants concerned.
  • Participation is at your own risk.

8. Confidentiality

  • Participants must maintain secrecy about puzzle solutions to preserve the experience for future groups.
  • Sharing solutions on social media or other platforms is not allowed.

9. Photography and Visual Content

  • By entering the Escape Room Raalte venue, every visitor automatically consents to photos and/or videos being taken during the visit, which may be used for promotional purposes (website, social media, print, news coverage), internal reporting, and activity impressions.
  • Photos are always taken and used with respect for visitors. No sensitive or inappropriate images will be published.
  • Visitors who do not wish to be recognizably captured on camera can notify a staff member prior to or upon arrival. Escape Room Raalte will respect this request and ensure that visitors are either not photographed, or made unrecognizable when images are deemed necessary.
  • The organization reserves the right to take group photos after the game. Participants can indicate whether they wish to receive or have these photos shared.
  • If visitors object to a published photo after the fact, it can be removed upon request. Requests can be sent by email to: info@escaperoomraalte.nl.

10. Applicable Law

  • Dutch law applies to these terms and conditions.
  • Disputes will be submitted to the Rechtbank Midden-Nederland, located in Utrecht.
